Dr Ian Gauci is the Managing Partner of GTG. He advises multiple government bodies and is one of the key figures on technology law matters. He is also an international speaker, lecturer and author.
Dr Gauci is recognised as a Tier 1 leading individual in Fintech by Chambers and Partners and Legal 500.

Dr Carl Brincat

CEO at Malta Gaming Authority

Dr Carl Brincat is Chief Executive Officer at the MGA. A lawyer by profession, he previously held the role of Chief Legal and Enforcement Officer within the Authority. Following three years of training in the field of criminal law, he joined the MGA’s legal team in 2014, going on to form part of the strategic direction of the Authority and its high-level regulatory committees. He sits on the Board of Governors of the Financial Intelligence Analysis Unit (FIAU), as well as that of the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA). A member of the Chamber of Advocates (Malta), the International Masters of Gaming law (IMGL), and the International Association of Gambling Regulators (IAGR), he has also been a regular speaker in local and international conferences relating to gaming and international regulatory issues.

Mark Wirth

Partner at Zampa Debattista

Mark is a Certified Public Accountant and Registered Auditor, specializing mainly in client accounting and business advisory services.Mark graduated from the University of Malta after completing the Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) Degree back in 2010.He spent seven years working within the tax and audit service lines within one of the Big 4 audit firms in Malta. In 2017, Mark co-founded Mint Finance, an accounting and audit firm which eventually merged with Zampa Debattista on 1st January 2022.
Throughout his career, Mark has advised several clients operating in various industries, both locally and abroad.
Mark also lectured the tax module of ACCA in recent years.

Reuben Portanier

Mr Reuben Portanier is the Advisory and Compliance Partner at GTG. Reuben advices clients in regulated sectors such as fintech and gaming. He is a former gaming regulator and is a regular speaker at international events.

Kinga Warda

Chief Officer, International Affairs at Malta Gaming Authority

Kinga is the Chief Officer – Policy & International Affairs at the MGA. Kinga joined the Authority in 2014 as a Research Executive within the Research Department. Since then, she occupied the roles of Research Manager, Head – Information Management, Head – Policy & Outreach prior being appointed Head – Policy & International Affairs. In her current role of Chief Officer – Policy & International Affairs, Kinga is responsible for all EU and international matters pertaining to the gaming industry, including the implementation of the MGA’s international affairs strategy. In addition, Kinga is responsible for spearheading the evidence-based policy development process and driving the MGA’s outreach programme.

Kinga holds a Bachelor Degree in International Management from the University of Lodz (Poland) and a Master Degree in Management with a specialisation in marketing from the HEC Management School – University of Liège, (Belgium). Kinga is a Board Member of the Gaming Regulators European Forum and a member of the International Association of Gambling Regulators.

Jonna Danlund

Head of Sustainability at Betsson Group

Jonna Danlund has over 20 years of experience in working with ESG and communication in large public institutions and private corporations across the world. As Head of Sustainability at Betsson Group, she is responsible for driving the work with the Group’s sustainability framework forward and runs the sustainability task force. She is also responsible for delivering the Betsson AB Annual and sustainability report and is currently heading up Betsson’s CSRD readiness project.

Enrico Bradamente

Chairperson at iGen Malta

Enrico Bradamante has more than eleven years of industry experience, and currently serves Chairman & Founder of the industry trade association iGaming Executives Network (iGEN and as Chief Commercial Officer at Pariplay). His previous roles include Managing Director of NetEnt, as well as key commercial roles at Kodak and Dell.

Enrico holds a MMechEng from the University of Trieste and an MBA from INSEAD.

David Xuereb

Chairperson at Malta ESG Allience

David is an architect and structural engineer and led built-environment teams in many parts of the world for over 30 years. He currently supports a strong, tangible and committed decarbonized economic transition in Malta through ESG principles that are impactful and exponential, regenerative and distributive. David lectures at the University of Malta, presided over the Malta Chamber of Commerce between 2019 and 2021 and currently chairs the Malta Council for Economic and Social Development (MCESD) and the Malta ESG Alliance (MESGA).

Liesbeth Oost

Head of Global Sustainability and IR Manager at Neogames

Liesbeth Oost is the Head of Global Sustainability and IR Manager at Neogames, a global leader of iLottery and iGaming solutions and services for regulated lotteries and gaming. She focuses on the sustainability strategy, at the heart of which is responsible gaming. Liesbeth has a Master’s degree in International Political Economy from the University of Groningen, and is a Certified Investor Relations professional (CIR®). Before her career in online gaming she worked at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Christian Sammut

CEO at BMIT Ltd

Christian Sammut is an experienced professional in information technology, data centres, telecommunications and business development. His career spans both the private and public sectors, locally and internationally. Currently, he serves as the Chief Executive Officer of BMIT Technologies plc, a position he has held since 2011.

In his current role, Christian has achieved significant milestones by driving innovation and excellence in the technology sector. Under his leadership, BMIT Technologies plc was, in 2019, listed on the main market of the Malta Stock Exchange. The Group now offers a comprehensive IT and tech portfolio of products and services to a wide range of customers, establishing itself as a leading technology provider on the island.

Throughout his career, Christian has taken on various key roles. In 2001, he joined the GO Group, where he played a key role in developing new business and driving investment opportunities. His latest position at GO was that of Chief Officer for Strategy & Business Development. Before that, he held pivotal roles in delivering and supporting the Government of Malta’s IT infrastructure and data centres, ensuring the provision of critical IT services nationwide.

Recognised for his expertise and leadership, Christian was appointed as the inaugural non-executive Chairman of Gaming Malta in 2015. His mission was to promote Malta as a global centre of excellence in the remote gaming sector and nurture the surrounding ecosystem.

Christian holds an engineering degree from the University of Malta and a Masters in Business Administration from Henley Management College.

Matthew Zampa

Partner at Zampa Debattista

Matthew is a certified public accountant specialised in VAT. He has been specializing in VAT since 2008 and has been involved in complex VAT assignments both within and outside of Malta. Matthew, a member of the Malta Institute of Accountants is also a part-time lecturer with the Malta Institute of Taxation.
Matthew Zampa is also the first Maltese to successfully complete the Expert in EU VAT degree, a degree administered and awarded by the VAT Forum, an international partnership of indirect tax specialists, founded in 1999. He is also a joint author of the European VAT Handbook, a manual providing essential information about VAT in Europe.
Matthew forms part of the indirect taxation committee of the Malta Institute of Taxation and is one of the council members of IFSP.
